Ireland Wholesale Prices Drop to 3-Month Low

In October 2025, wholesale prices in Ireland experienced a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%, following a 2.6% decline in September. This represents the ninth straight month of declining wholesale prices, with the most rapid decrease since July. Prices for non-food products saw a further decline, dropping by 4.4% compared to 3.5% in September, primarily driven by decreases in leather and related products at -1.3% from -0.7%, and basic metals falling to -1.7% from -1.1%. Meanwhile, prices in the food, beverages, and tobacco sectors increased by 3.1%, down from a 3.5% rise the previous month. On a monthly scale, wholesale prices rose by 0.7% in October, recovering from a 0.4% decline in September.
