Czech Republic Real Wage Growth Slows in Q3

In the third quarter of 2025, the average monthly wages in the Czech Republic experienced a year-on-year increase of 4.5%. This growth rate represents a deceleration from the previous quarter's figure of 5.3% and falls slightly below market predictions, which anticipated a 4.6% rise. The average gross monthly nominal wage across the national economy reached CZK 48,295, marking a 7.1% rise compared to the same quarter in 2024. When looking at a quarterly basis and adjusting for seasonal variations, the average wages increased by 1.7%. The most significant wage increases were observed in the sectors of professional, scientific and technical activities (11.4%), arts, entertainment and recreation (9.8%), and construction (9.5%). Conversely, the sectors with the smallest wage growth were electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning (3%) and mining and quarrying (3.9%).
