France Current Account Deficit Narrows

France experienced a reduction in its current account deficit in October 2025, lowering it to EUR 1.1 billion from the previous month's EUR 1.6 billion. The significant contributor to this improvement was a decrease in the goods account deficit, which shrank to EUR 2.6 billion compared to EUR 5.3 billion in September. Meanwhile, the services account continued to show strength with an unchanged surplus of EUR 4.5 billion. The primary income surplus saw a minor dip, reducing to EUR 3.6 billion from EUR 3.7 billion, and the secondary income deficit remained steady at EUR 4.5 billion.
