In the third quarter of 2025, Slovakia's economy grew by 0.9% year-on-year, aligning with initial projections and improving from the 0.6% growth seen in the previous quarter. This marks the most rapid growth rate since the last quarter of 2024, buoyed by strong performances in sectors such as manufacturing (up by 2.7%), industry (2.1%), financial and insurance activities (1.5%), and information and communication technology (2%). On the expenditure front, gross fixed capital formation increased by 4.5%, compared to 3.9% previously, although consumer spending slowed to 0.4% from 2%, and government expenditure decreased to 1.6% from 1.9%. Meanwhile, net trade weighed negatively on GDP, with export growth slowing to 1.3% from the previous 3.8%, and imports decelerating to 0.2% from 2.8%. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy expanded by 0.3% in the third quarter, maintaining the initial estimate of 0.3% from the previous period.
