Hong Kong Forex Reserves Rise for Second Straight Month

Hong Kong’s foreign exchange reserves rose to USD 429.4 billion in November 2025, compared to the adjusted figure of USD 426.1 billion in October, indicating the second month of consecutive growth. This data was released by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The reserves amount to over five times the currency currently in circulation and approximately 38% of the Hong Kong dollar M3. By the close of December, there were no outstanding foreign exchange contracts.
