Montenegro experienced a reduction in its annual inflation rate in November 2025, dropping to 4.2% from 4.8% in October. This represents the lowest inflation rate recorded since June. The decrease is attributed to the moderation of prices across various sectors, such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, which saw a price rise of 3.9%, down from 6% in October. Similarly, the categories of furnishing, household equipment, and routine household maintenance experienced a decrease in their inflation rate, registering 3.3% compared to the previous month’s 4.3%. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, as well as restaurants and hotels, also reported slower price increases, with inflation rates of 6% (down from 6.1%) and 5.8% (down from 6.4%) respectively. Miscellaneous goods and services saw a price inflation of 3.1%, a decline from 3.5%. Conversely, the transport sector witnessed a quicker rise in prices at 3.3%, up from 2.5%, and the recreation and culture segment saw an inflation increase to 7.6% from 7.2%. Deflation in clothing and footwear softened, with prices dropping by only 2.7% compared to October's 4.1% decrease. Prices remained unchanged in the sectors of housing and utilities (7.4%), health (13.1%), communication (-0.7%), and education (0%). On a monthly scale, consumer prices decreased by 0.4% in November, following a 0.2% decline in the previous month. Additionally, the annual harmonized inflation rate decelerated to 3.9% from 4.6% in October.
