In December 2025, Taiwan's consumer confidence index slightly declined to 64.3 from 64.65 in November, indicating a minor dip in household sentiment. The confidence level concerning stock investments further decreased to 26.37 from 27.02, highlighting ongoing uncertainty within financial markets. Additionally, perspectives on purchasing durable goods weakened to 95.94 from the previous 97.00, while expectations for the domestic economic outlook slightly dropped to 81.39 from 81.77. Conversely, households’ evaluations of their financial situations remained almost stable at 77.68 compared to 77.63, along with steady perceptions of employment opportunities at 71.6 versus 71.65 and the price outlook at 32.82 against 32.79.
