Finnish Industry Confidence Turns Neutral

In December 2025, Finland's manufacturing confidence index reached 0, rebounding from a five-month low of -6 recorded in November, aligning with its long-term average. The production outlook for upcoming months saw considerable improvement, with expectations rising to 26, up from 17 in the previous month. Additionally, the decrease in order backlog expectations eased, improving to -22 from the prior -27. Conversely, inventories of finished goods fell to 4, down from 6 in November. Furthermore, 63% of companies were reported to be operating at full capacity in December, a slight increase from 62% in the prior month, although still trailing behind the long-term average of 70%.
