South Korea Business Sentiment Holds Steady in December

The Business Survey Index (BSI) for South Korea's manufacturing sector held steady at 70 in December, maintaining the same level witnessed in November. Production increased slightly, climbing to 82 from 80, while new orders also saw an uptick, rising to 78 from 76. Inventory levels remained unchanged at 102, and the financial situation showed an improvement, advancing to 81 from 79. However, the Economic Sentiment Index, which amalgamates the BSI with the Consumer Survey Index, experienced a decline, slipping to 93.1 in December, down by 1.0 points from November, signaling a slight dip in overall economic optimism.
