Jamaica GDP Growth Picks Up in Q3

Jamaica's economy witnessed a robust expansion of 5.1% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, up from a 1.7% growth in the prior quarter. This growth was primarily driven by significant advances in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, which surged by 20.9%. Other sectors also contributed positively, with other manufacturing growing by 12.0%, transport and storage by 7.1%, and accommodation and food services rising by 6.8%. Conversely, public administration and defence experienced a slight decline, contracting by 0.7%. When compared to the previous quarter, the GDP showed a 1.1% increase.
