In November 2025, Romania observed an expansion in its current account deficit, reaching EUR 2,465 million, up from EUR 2,416 million recorded in the corresponding month of the previous year. The deficit in primary income rose to EUR 705 million, compared to EUR 513 million in November 2024, and the shortfall in secondary income increased to EUR 170 million from the previous EUR 102 million. Additionally, there was a notable contraction in the services account surplus, decreasing to EUR 762 million from EUR 1,079 million a year prior. Conversely, the goods account deficit saw an improvement, reducing to EUR 1,591 million in November 2025 from EUR 1,802 million the previous year. Evaluating the year up to November, Romania's cumulative current account deficit expanded to EUR 27,140 million, a rise from EUR 26,059 million recorded in the same timeframe of the preceding year.
