In December 2025, Kazakhstan experienced an 8.1% increase in industrial production compared to the same month the previous year, slightly down from an 8.2% rise in November. Notably, the growth in mining and quarrying output slowed significantly to 5.9% from the previous 10.8% rate in November. Meanwhile, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and hot water, as well as air conditioning, saw a decrease of 0.6%, following a 3.2% rise. The decline in water supply, waste management, and pollution control also intensified, dropping by 7.7%, compared to a 6.9% decline earlier. Contrarily, the manufacturing sector's output growth picked up pace, rising to 11.6% from 6.4% in the prior month. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output increased by 10.4% in December, up from 7.3% in November. Throughout the entire year of 2025, industrial production grew by 7.5% compared to the previous year.
