Azerbaijan GDP Grows 1.4% in 2025

In 2025, Azerbaijan's gross domestic product grew by 1.4% year-on-year, a deceleration from the near one-year peak of 1.6% recorded in the eleven months up to November, and a significant drop from the 4.1% increase seen in 2024. Within the economy, the oil and gas sector experienced a contraction of 1.6%, whereas the non-oil and gas sector witnessed a growth of 2.7%. From the production perspective, the industry sector emerged as the most substantial contributor to GDP, representing 33% of the overall production. It was followed by trade and vehicle repair at 11.3%, transport and warehousing at 7.1%, construction at 6.5%, and agriculture, forestry, and fishing at 5.9%. Tourist accommodation and public catering made up 2.8%, information and communication contributed 2.1%, while other sectors accounted for 21.7%. Net taxes on products and imports constituted 9.6% of the GDP.
