In December 2025, Norway's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate descended to 4.3%, down from 4.5% in November, marking its lowest point since February. Concurrently, the employment rate improved to 69.5%, up from 69.0% the preceding month, with the employed population increasing by 25,000 to reach 2.909 million. The labor force participation rate also edged higher, moving up to 72.6% from 72.3% in November. Moreover, the youth unemployment rate, capturing job-seekers aged 15 to 24, fell to a near-yearly low of 12.8%, down from 15.2% the month prior.
