In December 2025, producer prices in Sweden experienced a significant decrease of 2.7% compared to the same month the previous year, following a 1.4% decline in November. This represents the most significant drop since June. Specifically, prices for consumer goods dropped by 1.6%, a steeper decline than the 1.2% reduction seen in November. Capital goods also saw a more pronounced fall, decreasing by 2.5% compared to a previous 1.5% decline. Energy-related products witnessed a notable downturn of 2.8%, contrasting with a 2.8% increase in November. When excluding energy-related products, the overall producer prices still reflected a 2.7% decrease, following a 2.0% drop in the preceding month. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 1.1%, reversing the 1.2% gain recorded in November and indicating the first monthly decline in three months. Domestic prices decreased by 1.0%, influenced by reduced costs in refined petroleum, machinery, basic chemicals, and electricity trade services. Import prices went down by 1.1%, primarily due to decreases in refined petroleum, crude oil, and food products.
