Lithuania Industrial Output Rises for 4th Month

Lithuania’s industrial production experienced a 3.6% increase year-on-year in December 2025, slightly improving from a downwardly revised 2.1% growth in November. This marks the fourth consecutive month of growth in the industrial sector, driven primarily by a 3.6% boost in manufacturing, up from 2.2% in the prior month. Mining and quarrying also saw a rebound with a 5.7% increase, recovering from a previous decline of 1.9%. Meanwhile, the contraction in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services eased slightly to -10.6% from -10.8%. Conversely, there was a notable decline in the output of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which dropped by 12.2% compared to the earlier decrease of 3.4%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production fell by 0.3% in November after a revised gain of 2.3% in the preceding period.
