European Stocks Rise for 2nd Session

On Tuesday, European stock markets experienced an uptick, building on the modest gains from the prior day as investors evaluated a new wave of corporate earnings. The STOXX 50 climbed by 0.4%, and the broader STOXX 600 saw an increase of 0.3%. Concurrently, the European Union and India finalized a highly anticipated free trade agreement after nearly two decades of negotiations. This agreement is projected to double the EU's goods exports to India by 2032 by reducing or eliminating tariffs on 96.6% of EU exports to the nation. Shares in Puma surged by almost 10% following the sale of a stake to China’s Anta Sports. Roche shares also went up by 0.9% due to positive outcomes from clinical trials of its experimental obesity drug, while Sage enjoyed a 0.5% rise after announcing a 10% revenue increase.
