In December 2025, Turkey witnessed a 4.99% increase in foreign visitors from the previous year, reaching a total of 2.72 million, building on a 2.61% rise in the preceding month. Among the top countries contributing to this influx, visitor numbers rose from Germany by 3.93%, Bulgaria by 10.71%, and Russia by 9.48%. However, there were declines from Iran and Georgia, with decreases of 0.26% and 2.91% respectively. Istanbul continued to be the leading destination for foreign tourists, drawing in 54.98% of the total visitors, with Edirne and Antalya following at 12.99% and 9.49%, respectively. Over the entirety of 2025, the total count of foreign arrivals showed a slight increase of 0.28%, reaching 52.78 million.
