Croatia Industrial Output Eases in December

In December 2025, Croatia experienced a 4.5% increase in industrial production compared to the previous year, though this was a slowdown from the downwardly adjusted 8.7% growth observed in November. This marks the third consecutive month of growing industrial activity, albeit with a reduced pace. Notably, the manufacturing sector saw moderated growth (6.4% compared to November's 10.6%), with specific declines in food products (1.2% down from 4.1%), beverages (19% down from 49.5%), textiles (-0.2% down from 5.9%), and leather and related products (-9% down from 5.7%). Meanwhile, mining and quarrying stabilized, recording no change after a significant 5.1% drop in the previous month. Conversely, there was a further decline in the output for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-6%, compared to a -0.3% change previously). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity increased by 1.2%, following a revised 0.6% rise in the prior period. Over the entire year, industrial production rose by 3.8% in comparison to the same timeframe the previous year.
