Spain's current account surplus experienced a significant reduction in November 2025, registering EUR 0.21 billion, a steep decline from the EUR 2.48 billion recorded in the same month the previous year, as per preliminary figures. The surplus in the goods and services sector decreased to EUR 2.36 billion from EUR 2.92 billion, although tourism revenues showed a noteworthy increase, rising to EUR 6.36 billion from EUR 6.11 billion. Meanwhile, the primary and secondary income deficit expanded to EUR 2.16 billion, compared to EUR 0.44 billion the previous year. Cumulatively, for the first eleven months of the year, the current account surplus reached EUR 46.91 billion, slightly down from EUR 48.85 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.
