The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk freight index decreased by 3.6%, reaching a level of 1955, marking its lowest point since January 26. The capesize index, which is responsible for transporting large cargoes of approximately 150,000 tons, such as iron ore and coal, saw a decline of 5.7%, bringing it down to 2994. Similarly, the panamax index, which generally handles cargoes between 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, dropped by 2.3%, settling at 1685 points. In contrast, the supramax index experienced a rise of 0.8%, moving up to 1092.
