US Export Prices Gain Traction

Export prices from the United States rose 0.3% month-over-month in December 2025. On an annual basis, export prices were up 3.1%, easing from a 3.3% increase in November and marking the smallest yearly gain since July. The figures were compiled from partial data for selected months through year-end, reflecting disruptions caused by the US government shutdown.

Despite the moderation, the annual growth rate remained well above the averages seen since late 2022, indicating that US firms largely avoided cutting export prices even in the face of retaliatory tariffs imposed by major US trading partners.
