UK Q4 Construction Orders Remain Solid

UK construction orders increased by 28.6% year-on-year in Q4 2025, easing slightly from an upwardly revised 30.5% surge in Q3, which had been the fastest pace since Q4 2021. Growth in new housing orders softened (12.6% vs. 17.3%), as a sharp slowdown in private housing (2.4% vs. 9.6%) offset a strong acceleration in public housing (99.8% vs. 72.5%). Meanwhile, orders for all other work remained robust (34.4% vs. 34.3% in Q3). On a quarterly basis, total construction orders fell 3.8%, reversing a 14.4% increase in Q3 and indicating some loss of momentum toward the end of the year.
