Argentina Consumer Confidence Falls to Four-Month Low

Argentina’s Consumer Confidence Index fell 4.7% month-on-month to 44 in February 2026, its lowest reading since October 2025. All subcomponents declined, led by Personal Situation (-7.62%) and Macroeconomic Situation (-5.37%), while Durable Goods and Real Estate was virtually unchanged (-0.02%).

By income level, confidence deteriorated across the board, with a steeper drop among high-income households (-5.24%) compared with low-income households (-2.28%). Regionally, the decline was broad-based, driven by Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (-7.77%) and Gran Buenos Aires (-5.35%), while the Interior experienced a more moderate contraction (-2.26%). On an annual basis, the index was 6.09% lower than in February 2025.
