Global Food Prices Edge Higher in February

The FAO Food Price Index rose 0.9% in February 2026 to 125.3 points, its highest level in four months, up from a revised 124.2 in January. Higher price indices for cereals, meat, and vegetable oils more than offset declines in dairy and sugar, marking the first increase in the index after five consecutive monthly declines.
