Motorbike sales in Indonesia rose 1.0% year-on-year to 587,354 units in February 2026, the highest level in four months, after a 3.1% increase in January. This marked the seventh consecutive month of growth.
Exports of Completely Built-Up (CBU) motorcycles surged 31.4% in February, extending a 29.5% rise in the previous month. In contrast, shipments of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units fell 14.0%, deepening from a marginal 0.1% decline in January.
On a month-on-month basis, motorbike sales grew 1.7% in February, a sharp deceleration from the 25.1% jump recorded in January. Overall, for the January–February period, motorbike sales were 2.1% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
