Indonesia Consumer Confidence Weakens in February

Indonesia’s consumer confidence eased to 125.2 in February 2026, down from 127.0 in January, when it had reached a one-year high. The decline was driven primarily by a weaker economic outlook, which fell 4.4 points to 134.4. Income expectations for the next six months also worsened, dropping 5.3 points to 140.7, while expectations for job availability over the same period decreased 3.4 points to 131.7.

In contrast, assessments of current conditions showed modest improvement. Views on present income levels rose 1.4 points to 125.0, and perceptions of the current state of the economy edged up 0.8 points to 115.9. The index for purchases of durable goods compared with six months earlier inched up 0.2 points to 112.0, and job availability versus six months ago improved slightly, gaining 0.7 points to 110.7.
