China’s exports surged 21.8% year-on-year to USD 656.58 billion in the January–February 2026 period, a sharp acceleration from the 6.6% increase recorded in December and far above market expectations of 7.1%. This robust performance represents the strongest growth in outbound shipments since October 2021, underpinned by solid global demand and a buoyant start to the year.
