Argentina’s consumer confidence weakened in March 2026, according to the latest Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) data. The index declined to 40.31 in March from 44.70 in February, signaling a deterioration in household sentiment on a month-over-month basis.
The month-on-month comparison shows that conditions worsened in March relative to February, when the index had stood at 44.70. While February 2026 had marked a higher confidence level compared with the month before it, the March data point indicates a loss of momentum in consumer sentiment.
The updated figures, released on 11 March 2026, suggest that Argentine consumers have become more cautious about the economic outlook, with the PCSI now hovering closer to the 40-point level after February’s relatively stronger reading.
