US Exports Hit New High

US exports surged 5.5% in January 2026 to a record $302.1 billion, driven primarily by higher overseas sales of nonmonetary gold, other precious metals, computers, civilian aircraft, and computer accessories. In contrast, exports of pharmaceutical preparations declined. The largest export markets were Mexico ($32.85 billion), the European Union ($34.66 billion), Canada ($27.2 billion), and China ($8.6 billion).
