In January 2026, Lithuania’s current account recorded a surplus of EUR 185.63 million, reversing a deficit of EUR 49.16 million in the same month a year earlier. The services surplus widened markedly to EUR 644.51 million from EUR 437.47 million, while the secondary income balance swung from a deficit of EUR 37.53 million to a surplus of EUR 10.86 million. The primary income deficit also narrowed, declining to EUR 120.34 million from EUR 154.65 million. In contrast, the goods account deficit deteriorated, expanding to EUR 349.40 million from EUR 294.45 million.
