The Netherlands recorded a current account surplus of €34.52 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, virtually unchanged from the same period a year earlier. The goods surplus widened to €28.72 billion from €25.57 billion, while the services surplus increased to €13.60 billion from €12.61 billion. In contrast, the primary income deficit deepened to €2.99 billion from €0.58 billion, and the secondary income deficit widened to €4.79 billion from €3.09 billion. For the full year 2025, the current account surplus narrowed to €92.62 billion, down from €102.66 billion in 2024.
