Retail sales in Serbia rose by 4.6% year-on-year in February 2026, the slowest growth in five months and down from a 5.5% increase in January. Turnover in automotive fuel sold in specialized stores returned to growth, rising 2.3% after a 1.8% decline in the previous month. Sales of food, beverages, and tobacco edged up slightly, with turnover growth accelerating to 5.3% from 5.2%. By contrast, turnover growth for non-food products excluding energy slowed markedly, easing to 4.8% from 8.8%. On a monthly basis, retail sales fell by 4.3%, a smaller decline than the 20.3% drop recorded in the previous month.
