Kazakhstan’s annual inflation rate eased to 11.0% in March 2026 from 11.7% in January, reaching its lowest level since April 2025. Price growth decelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.7% vs. 5.2% in February) and for housing and utilities (0.6% vs. 0.7%). At the same time, costs were unchanged for clothing and footwear (1.0%), household goods, appliances and routine home maintenance (0.5%), healthcare (0.9%), recreation and culture (0.5%), education (0.2%), transport (1.0%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (0.2%). On a monthly basis, consumer price growth also slowed, with CPI rising 0.6% in March after a 1.1% increase in February.
