Albania’s annual inflation rate edged up to 2.6% in March 2026 from 2.5% in February, reaching its highest level since February 2024. The strongest price increases were recorded in transport (7.5%), followed by housing and utilities (4.8%), insurance and financial services (4.5%), recreation and sport (2.9%), furniture and household equipment (2.6%), restaurants and accommodation (2.4%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.0%), personal care and miscellaneous goods (2.0%), education (1.9%), and food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.3%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.7%.
