Mexican Consumer Sentiment Edges Higher in April Thomson Reuters IPSOS PCSI Reading

Mexico’s consumer confidence improved in April 2026, as the Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) rose to 54.00, up from 53.05 in March 2026.

On a month-over-month basis, the data show a continued strengthening in sentiment, with April’s reading marking a further gain after March. The index, which tracks household perceptions of current and future economic conditions, suggests that Mexican consumers entered the second quarter of 2026 with slightly more optimism than in the previous month.

The latest figures, updated on 08 April 2026, position April’s “Actual” change as a direct comparison with March 2026, while the “Previous” reference corresponds to the shift seen in March relative to February. This sequence underscores a modest but ongoing upward trend in Mexico’s consumer outlook.
