Bitcoin Hits 11-Week High

Bitcoin climbed more than 2% to above $78,000 in late April, its highest level since early February, supported by cautious optimism after President Trump said he would extend the ceasefire with Iran. Trump indicated the truce would remain in place until Iran submits a “unified proposal” to end the war with the US and Israel.

The remarks followed reports that Vice President JD Vance’s planned trip to Pakistan for Iran-related talks had been postponed, and that Tehran, through a Pakistani intermediary, had informed US counterparts it would not participate in further negotiations.

Since the conflict began, Bitcoin has shared in the volatility seen across risk assets, yet it remains more than 15% higher than in late February. At the same time, inflows into US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs have strengthened in recent weeks. The 13 funds have drawn more than $250 million so far this week, after recording $996.4 million in net inflows last week, underscoring growing institutional demand.
