Producer prices in Sweden increased by 2% year-on-year in March 2026, rebounding from a 1.7% decline in February. This was the first annual rise in producer prices in five months and the strongest since February 2025, largely driven by a 15.8% jump in energy prices (up from 3.5% in February). Prices also rose for intermediate goods (0.7% vs -2.7%), while deflation eased for capital goods (-0.5% vs -2.7%) and consumer goods (-2.4% vs -3.6%). Within consumer goods, prices for durable goods accelerated (2.9% vs 0.8%), while the decline in non-durable goods prices slowed (-3.2% vs -4.2%). Excluding energy-related products, producer prices fell by 0.5%, compared with a 3% drop in the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.6% in March, following a 0.2% rise in February.
