FX.co ★ Slovenia Tourist Arrivals Up 9.7% in March

Tourist arrivals in Slovenia rose by 9.7% year-on-year to nearly 335 thousand in March 2026, accelerating from a 3.3% increase in February. Foreign tourist arrivals increased by 13.5% to 221.7 thousand, while domestic arrivals were up 3.0% to 113.3 thousand.

The majority of foreign visitors came from Germany (33.4%), Austria (26.0%), Croatia (13.7%), and Serbia (5.4%).

Overnight stays grew by 8.3% to 832.4 thousand. The highest numbers of overnight stays were recorded in:

• health (spa) resorts (up 2.7%),
• mountain resorts (up 8.5%),
• seaside resorts (up 6.8%), and
• the capital (up 16.9%).

In the first quarter of 2026, total tourist arrivals reached 959.9 thousand, a 7.0% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
