Philippine imports climbed 12.3% year-on-year to a record USD 12.7 billion in March 2026, easing from the 16.6% growth recorded in February. The expansion was largely fueled by a sharp 44.2% increase in imports of electronic products, driven in particular by semiconductor components (+61%), communication and radar equipment (+30.5%), and medical and industrial instrumentation (+23.9%).
