Poland Inflation at 10-Month High in April

Poland’s annual inflation rate increased to 3.2% year-on-year in April 2026, up from 3% in March, according to preliminary estimates. This is the highest reading since June 2025 and points to persistent price pressures across major components of the consumer basket. Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.9%, while costs for electricity, gas, and other fuels accelerated to 4.7%. Fuel and transport equipment also continued to climb, advancing 8.4%, driven in part by ongoing geopolitical tensions related to the conflict in the Middle East. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.6% in April, a moderation from the 1.1% increase recorded in the previous month.
