South Korea Exports Rise More than Expected

South Korea’s exports surged 48% year-on-year to USD 85.89 billion in April 2026, exceeding market expectations of 45.3%, though slightly below the upwardly revised 49.2% increase recorded in March. It was the second consecutive month in which exports topped USD 80 billion, largely supported by robust growth in semiconductor shipments.
