Germany’s Ifo Business Climate Index rose to 85.6 in June 2026, the highest level in three months, up from a revised 85.0 in May and matching market expectations. “The German economy is hoping for an easing of the global political situation,” said Ifo President Clemens Fuest. The current conditions gauge increased to 87.0 from 86.1, beating the forecast of 86.0. The expectations index also edged up, to 84.1 from 83.9, but remained below the consensus estimate of 85.0.
