Swiss Producer Prices Fall Further in June, Deepening Year-Over-Year Decline

Switzerland’s producer price index (PPI) extended its decline in June 2026, signaling sustained disinflationary pressure at the production level. Year-over-year, PPI fell 2.1% in June, compared with a 1.8% decrease recorded in May 2026.

The data, updated on 14 July 2026, indicate that June’s reading marks a further softening in prices received by Swiss producers relative to the same month a year earlier. Under the comparison framework used, the “actual” figure reflects the change in June 2026 versus June 2025, while the “previous” figure captures the change in May 2026 versus May 2025. The acceleration in the year-over-year decline suggests that input and wholesale price pressures in Switzerland continued to ease at the end of the second quarter.
