Car registrations in the Netherlands surged in June 2026, with the month-on-month growth rate jumping to 30.4%, up sharply from 16.4% in May 2026. The latest data, updated on 23 July 2026, indicate a strong acceleration in vehicle demand compared with the previous month.

The figures show that not only did registrations continue to grow, but the pace of that growth almost doubled between May and June. In May, car registrations were already rising at a 16.4% month-on-month rate compared with April. By June, the increase to 30.4% signals a marked strengthening in the market over a short period.

The comparison is based on a month-over-month measure, where the “actual” June figure reflects the change from May, and the “previous” May figure captures the change from April. Together, the data point to a rapidly expanding Dutch car market as of early summer 2026.
