Spain Producer Inflation Slows to 7% in June

Spain’s producer prices rose 7% year-on-year in June 2026, slowing from a 10.5% increase in May. Cost growth eased notably in the energy sector (14.3% vs 28.5% in May), reflecting lower prices in electricity generation, transmission and distribution, as well as a fall in oil refining prices. Inflation also moderated for consumer goods (1% vs 1.3%). In contrast, price increases accelerated for intermediate goods (6.6% vs 6.1%) and capital goods (2.5% vs 2.3%). Excluding energy, producer price inflation edged up to 3.6%, from 3.4% in the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices were flat in June, following a 1% rise in May.
