Bulgaria Producer Inflation Eases Slightly in June

Producer prices in Bulgaria rose by 17.1% year-on-year in June 2026, slightly below the more than three-year high of 17.5% recorded in May. Price growth in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply slowed to 20.4% from 21.5%.

In contrast, costs in mining and quarrying accelerated, increasing by 63.8% compared with 61.9% in the previous month. Within this sector, price growth in the mining of metal ores remained very high but eased somewhat (105.3% vs. 110.3%), while prices in other mining and quarrying activities also moderated (4.9% vs. 5.1%).

Manufacturing inflation was steady at 8.9%. The largest price increases were observed in basic metals (25.6%), chemicals and chemical products (11.5%), and the repair and installation of machinery and equipment (10.8%). At the same time, prices fell for machinery and equipment (-1.3%) and for computer, electronic and optical products (-0.4%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices declined by 0.5% in June, following a 0.2% decrease in May.
