Norway House Prices Drop 1.1% in July

House prices in Norway fell by 1.1% month-on-month in July 2026, reversing a 0.3% increase in June and marking the sharpest monthly decline since March 2020. Residential sales amounted to 5,016 units, down 11.3% from a year earlier, while 3,677 homes were listed for sale, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year.

The average time on the market rose to 62 days from 40 days in June. Homes sold fastest in Bergen, with an average selling time of 17 days, and slowest in Bodø w/Fauske, at 109 days. Regionally, Tromsø recorded the strongest monthly price growth at 0.5%, whereas Tønsberg w/Færder saw the largest decline, with prices down 2.6%.

On an annual basis, house prices were up 2.2%, down from a 3.8% increase in June and representing the slowest annual growth rate since June 2024. For the January–July period, prices were 2.8% higher than in the same period of 2025.
