Motorbike sales in Indonesia rose 8.3% year-on-year to 636,030 units in July 2026, following a 1.1% increase in June. This was the highest monthly figure since October 2014, supported by easing price pressures during the month.
Over the first seven months of 2026, motorbike sales reached 3.77 million units, up 2.0% compared with the same period a year earlier. The Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI) projects full-year sales to remain relatively stable in the range of 6.4 million to 6.7 million units. In the previous year, sales increased by 1.3% to 6.4 million units, aligning with AISI’s target range, although the pace of growth was slightly below the 1.5% expansion recorded in 2024.
On a monthly basis, motorbike sales jumped 23.0% in July, a sharp acceleration from the 7.5% growth seen in June.
