Denmark’s consumer confidence index rose to -13.1 in August 2026 from -14.7 in July, reaching its highest level since February. Looking ahead to the next 12 months, households’ expectations turned marginally positive (0.4 vs -3.5). At the same time, the willingness to make major purchases of consumer durables—such as televisions or washing machines—was less subdued (-14.9 vs -16.9).
